Abu Dhabi to host the Arab Business Environment Forum
Abu Dhabi, Nov 02nd, 2009 (WAM): The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED), in
association with the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Emirates Competitiveness
Council (ECC) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) will organise a two-day Forum in Abu Dhabi
on Business practices and the business environment in the Arab world.
This was announced at a press conference held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(ADCCI) which was attended by Mohammed Omar Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Department,
Abdullah Lootah, Secretary-General of the ECC, Jassim Al Mannai, Chairman of the Arab Monetary Fund
(AMF) and Hamad Salem Lakhraibani Al Nuaimi Executive Director of Commercial Affairs Section at
the Department.
The forum will be opened by HE Nasser Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of
Economic Development in the presence of a number of ministers, senior government and international
officials.
The annual report of the business climate in the Arab countries will be launched during the forum. This
year's report highlights the developments and achievements made by the United Arab Emirates in
improving the investment climate.
